Welcome to our school
It is a real privilege to be Head teacher of such a vibrant, exciting, nurturing therapeutic school. Our school thrives on a culture of high expectations and commitment. We are all committed to making a real difference to the children in our care. We aim to give our children the very best start to their educational journey, developing personal aspiration and a life long love of learning; ready for independent living.
Eton Dorney Independent Therapeutic School is forward thinking and outward looking. As part of Calcot Services for Children, our educational vision has safe, happy children at its heart. All of our children are, respected, valued, with the highest aspiration and confidence and will be offered every opportunity to succeed.
We aim for every child to be excited by their learning, so that they themselves are motivated to be the best that they can be. Our inspirational, talented and compassionate staff team are committed to every child achieving. Working closely with parents and carers, we make sure that pupils are happy and that they are achieving success in all areas of school life within a nurturing approach and within a supportive network of staff and friendships.
Our focus is that every child and their family and carers will look back and recall their time at Eton Dorney as a time of achievement, purpose, kindness with a sense of personal discovery and stepping stone and maintaining friendships and resilience.
As Head teacher I am exceptionally passionate and understand that all of our children come with their own life stories, but we will always put our children at the forefront of everything we do.
Many of our pupils have had a difficult and challenging start to education and as such it is so important to ensure that as a school we understand, are flexible and compassionate about every child we work with. I can truly put my hand on my heart and say that we have a happy, warm and nurturing school where our pupils feel happy and safe.
My team are as equally wonderful and committed to impacting on the lives of those they work with educationally and holistically. I would welcome a visit from any prospective parent/guardian to visit our school, as we are proud of the educational and nurturing support we provide our pupil’s.
If you would like to visit the school, we would warmly welcome you to arrange a school visit.
With warm regards,
