Ofsted Reports

In November 2018, I was very proud to lead our school through their first Ofsted inspection since my time in post. Ofsted describe the Headteacher as having ‘created an environment where pupils feel comfortable, well cared for and increasingly ready to learn, the school is a calm and caring place, behavior is good and pupils respect each other differences’.

We were awarded’ Good’ overall and Good in all categories. I was delighted by the recognition of the high quality of education at the school and the commitment of the staff who work here.

Our school curriculum has been recognised as providing enriching opportunities off site and in school, which focusses on intent, implementation and impact on the learning of all our children.

Our teaching has been described as Good, ‘It is tailored to the needs and abilities of pupils and helps them make good progress from their starting points’ (Ofsted).

Our hard working staff consistently strive to support all of our pupils and our pastoral support is second to none and we were praised for having an established team of staff who put Pupils welfare and personal development and help them first to succeed’ (Ofsted).

The education team provide lessons that are engaging and this helps pupils to make good progress. Ofsted described the teaching as pupils making good progress, especially in developing their self-confidence, communications skills and attitude to learning’ Osfted. I believe that this positivity is based on the staffs’ overwhelmingly positive care and quality of teaching the school provides for our children.

Whilst our Ofsted is reflected of our visit in November 2018, my team and school community are always striving to find ways to improve the provision at our school. Since our last Ofsted inspection we have improved in all areas and strive and aspire to become one the first Outstanding Independent therapeutic schools in the Buckinghamshire.

I am confident that our continued work at the school is successive but as a school we are committed to continue to ensure that, our pupils are safe, treated equally, compassionately, respectfully and challenged to be the best they can be. The children are at the heart of everything we do here and we are outstandingly committed to supporting all the pupils in our school regardless of their difficulties.
