Parent and Pupil learning

Primary Materials

Dear all,

I hope you are all keeping well in these challenging times.

Please Note: This is our final VotePack before the Easter break. If you’ve got any suggestions for future topics, would like some additional archive materials or have any burning questions, please get in touch – the team will be here throughout the holidays. Our next topic will be with you on Thursday 16th April, however we will continue to upload some past topics onto the website over the next two weeks.

This week, students will be putting their independent learning under the microscope, thinking about the question: “Can you learn more without a classroom?” We hope that the lessons will get them thinking about what and how they learn, both in school and at home, as well as exploring some of the issues that they may be facing under current circumstances. You can find the resources here:

Primary Activity Pack
KS1 Lesson
KS2 Lesson
Primary Curriculum Guide
Home Learning Top Tips

As mentioned last week, there are no lesson plans included in this pack – the lessons instead include clear instructions for independent learners & teachers alike. Similarly, the Activity Pack provides lots of cross curricular activities and information for parents and students on how to learn effectively at home. Feel free to circulate the packs to students, parents & carers, and please encourage them to use the alternative voting link at the end of each session.

I hope you have a chance to relax over the Easter break, despite the bizarre circumstances.

Best wishes,
Amy

This week, students will be putting their independent learning under the microscope, thinking about the question: “Can we learn more outside the classroom?” We hope that the lessons will get them thinking about how to make the best of the current situation, no matter their learning style, while also introducing them to some additional skills they can develop while working from home.

As mentioned last week, there are no lesson plans included in this pack – the lessons instead include clear instructions for independent learners & teachers alike. Similarly, the Activity Pack provides lots of cross curricular activities and information for parents and students on how to learn effectively at home, or just learning independently while at school.

Feel free to circulate
these packs and our resources to students, parents & carers, and please encourage them to use the alternative voting link at the end of each session.

All the best and stay safe.
